JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Update: Officials said the bridge was closed due to a person threatening to hurt themselves. Jacksonville officers were able to safely bring the person in for evaluation.
If you're planning on driving down the Hart Bridge Wednesday night, be aware that the bridge is closed.
The Hart Bridge has been closed going both directions due to an ongoing police investigation, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
The bridge remained closed as late as 11:15 p.m.
An alternate route would be taking the Mathews Bridge.
