PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — A Palatka man was struck and killed while walking on St. Johns Avenue in Putnam County Wednesday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A crash report states around 6 p.m., a sedan driven by a 20-year-old Palatka woman was traveling east on St. Johns Avenue near Oliver Street.
A 61-year-old Palatka man was on the south shoulder of St. Johns Avenue and stepped into the roadway where he was struck by the sedan, FHP said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not injured.
FHP is investigating the crash.
