CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — A 40-year-old Orange Park woman is dead after a crash on Blanding Boulevard Sunday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 10:36 p.m. as a vehicle was heading southbound on Blanding Boulevard at Woodside Drive.
An FHP report states a 40-year-old woman walked into the path of the vehicle and was struck.
The vehicle involved stopped at the scene, according to troopers.
People in the area at the time of the crash rendered aid to the victim until fire responders arrived on the scene, FHP said.
The woman was taken to the Orange Park Medical Center but was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The 25-year-old man driving the vehicle was not hurt in the crash.
