JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Drivers on J. Turner Boulevard Thursday morning navigated a change to how they exited onto Kernan Boulevard.
The Florida Department of Transportation opened a new exit ramp from JTB eastbound to Kernan Boulevard northbound.
To use the new loop ramp, drivers going east on JTB will want to stay in the right lane and go about 1/3 of a mile past the current exit ramp, which will now only be used for Kernan Boulevard southbound traffic. The new ramp will loop drivers around and exit onto Kernan Boulevard northbound.
The $17 million dollar project is expected to help with congestion at the exit and make for a smoother transition for drivers.
