CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — UPDATE: The person killed Tuesday in an accident on Blanding Boulevard in Clay County just before 2 p.m. was driving a sedan in the southbound lane.
A Florida Highway Patrol accident report states that the driver was in the left turn lane and turned into the path of an SUV traveling in the opposite direction.
The front of the SUV struck the right side of the sedan. Both drivers were taken to Orange Park Medical Center. The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The SUV's driver was treated for minor injuries, the report states. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

One person is dead following a crash on Blanding Boulevard Tuesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The wreck at Blanding near Bolton Road includes multiple vehicles and is blocking all northbound lanes, FHP said at around 2:30 p.m. Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
