JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The eastbound lanes on the Mathews Bridge will close Friday night through Monday morning, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
FDOT says the lanes will be closed because of a rehabilitation project scheduled to take place, "weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting." The closure will happen at 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 5, and lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 8, a news release states.
Additionally, FDOT says the westbound inside travel lane will be closed during this time. However, the westbound outside travel lane will remain open.
Eastbound drivers will be detoured to taking the Hart Bridge throughout the weekend, the release states.
