JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A crash involving a motorcycle and a car was causing delays on I-95 South at the Lem Turner exit starting at 6:10 p.m., according to an alert from the Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department.
JFRD said there were multiple patients being treated for injuries from this crash.
A report released by the Florida Highway Patrol later Saturday said that there were two people on the motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 39-year-old man from Savannah, lost control for an "unknown reason" while traveling in the rain. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The passenger, a 24-year-old woman from Chicago, was critically injured. She was taken to the hospital.
