JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 17-year-old girl is dead and several others are injured after a crash Monday afternoon involving a semi-truck and a car on Jacksonville's Northside.
The crash happened at about 3:30 p.m. in the 6700 block of Dunn Avenue, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A silver Honda Accord with five people inside was headed south on New Kings Road before making a left turn towards Dunn Avenue. An oncoming 18-wheeler driven by a 47-year-old man hit the Honda, the FHP said.
A 17-year-old girl, who was one of the passengers in the Honda, died in the crash, according to the FHP.
Three other passengers, all under the age of 20, were critically injured in the crash. The driver of the Honda, a 20-year-old man, received minor injures, according to the FHP.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was not hurt in the crash.
