All westbound lanes on Mathews Bridge reopened following crash

The crash Wednesday morning caused delays for drivers, even those who were driving eastbound on the bridge.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — 11:01 a.m. UPDATE: The right westbound lane on the Mathews Bridge has reopened, as the left lane remains closed.

11:47 a.m. UPDATE: The scene of the crash has been cleared and the westbound lanes on the bridge have reopened.

All westbound lanes on the Mathews Bridge are currently closed Wednesday due to a crash, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.

Drivers heading into Downtown Jacksonville should take the Hart Bridge or Main Street Bridge as alternative routes while the lanes are closed.

Although no eastbound lanes have closed on the Mathews, drivers traveling east are experiencing delays, according to FDOT.
