JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Update: All lanes have reopened.
All Interstate 10 eastbound lanes are closed Friday morning from Interstate 295 to Lane Avenue due to an accident that Florida Highway Patrol is working, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Drivers should get off I-10 at Hammond Boulevard before reaching the I-10/I-295 interchange, then take West Beaver Street which leads to Downtown Jacksonville, to continue traveling east and avoid the closure. Drivers who are caught up in traffic and being rerouted off the interstate at Lane Avenue, should be aware that there's another accident ahead on the interstate near Edgewood Avenue where the two right eastbound lanes are blocked, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
The accident that has forced all eastbound lanes to close, involves a dumpster truck, while the other accident on the interstate near Edgewood Avenue involves a semitruck.
