JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department teams were on the scene of a traffic crash that shut down all lanes of I-95 northbound, south of the Fuller Warren Bridge Thursday night.
The Florida Highway Patrol report says a loaded log tractor-trailer was traveling northbound on I-95 around 8:15 p.m. when it overturned on a curve approaching the Fuller Warren Bridge.
The tractor-trailer blocked all lanes of I-95 northbound as a result. The logs spilled on the travel lanes.
A second car crashed into one of the logs. The FHP report says the driver of that vehicle was not hurt.
The 60-year-old driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. He was trapped inside the vehicle earlier, according to JFRD.
Traffic on I-95 was at a complete standstill.
There was a fuel leak and the hazmat team was on the scene.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the highway was closed for several hours.
