46-year-old woman killed after crash on I-95 in Flagler County

The truck the woman was riding in crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 95, went airborne and rolled over a median, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — A 46-year-old Hastings woman is dead after a crash on Interstate 95 in Flagler County on Saturday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Around 11 p.m., a pickup truck was traveling north on the inside lane of I-95 near Mile Marker 280.

FHP said the truck started changing lanes and moved into the center lane. The driver then redirected to the left, crashing into the guardrail.

The truck went airborne, FHP said, and rolled over a median. The truck came to a final rest inside the grassy median.

According to FHP, the 47-year-old Hastings man driving the truck was taken to the hospital with severe injuries. 

A crash report states the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The 46-year-old woman riding in the truck died at the scene. She was wearing a seatbelt, according to FHP.
