JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two people are dead after being hit by vehicles in two separate incidents in Jacksonville late Friday night.
The first crash happened at around 11:50 p.m. in the 10300 block of Atlantic Boulevard, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a male pedestrian with serious injuries. First responders took him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, JSO said.
The driver is cooperating with investigators, police said.
The other crash happened at about 11:54 p.m. on State Road 104 near North Campus Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
An eastbound Dodge Charger struck a 46-year-old woman who was crossing the road outside of the designated crosswalk, FHP said.
The woman was later pronounced dead, according to the FHP.
The driver of the Charger did pull over after the crash.
