JACKSONVILLE, Fla — A 19-year-old man is fighting for his life after a crash on Roosevelt Boulevard Saturday morning.
The man was driving north on Roosevelt Blvd. in a rented Nissan Altima before 5:30 a.m. when the vehicle jumped the median and hit a sign board, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
The vehicle was overturned when first responders arrived, and the man had to be pulled from the car. Rescuers took him to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, JSO said.
Police believe alcohol may be a factor in the crash after officers found alcohol inside the car, according to JSO. The crash remains under investigation.
