ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — UPDATE: All lanes of I-95 are back open.
A crash with injuries shut down all lanes of Interstate 95 northbound near Mile Marker 320 in St. Johns County, the Florida Highway Patrol reported Monday afternoon.
One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to St. Johns County Fire Rescue.
The crash, which appears to involve a large truck, snarled traffic for drivers in the area.
Officials said the truck was carrying boxes that were scattered across the roadway after the crash.
Emergency crews on the scene are allowing vehicles to pass the crash using a single emergency lane on the outside shoulder.
The roadway is expected to be closed for hours, officials said, as crews work to clean up the crash.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area.
