JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is dead after a single-car crash in the Spring Park neighborhood Saturday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
At approximately 6:30 p.m. Saturday evening, a 4-door Chevrolet pickup was traveling north on Spring Park Road when it veered into the southbound lane and crashed into a tree line, according to police.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue crews responded to the scene and took the driver to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Spring Park Road will remain closed while detectives investigate the crash.
This crash marks the 126th traffic fatality in Duval County so far this year.
