NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. — One person is dead and another was injured after a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Nassau County.
A 19-year-old man was driving an SUV east on Amelia Concourse as he approached Nassauville Road. At about 12:30 p.m., the man failed to stop at a red light and hit a sedan driven by a 71-year-old woman at the intersection, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The driver of the sedan was facing north on Nassauville Road and was intending to make a left turn onto Amelia Concourse, the FHP said.
The 71-year-old woman died from his injuries in the crash. The 19-year-old received serious injuries from the crash, the FHP said.
