JACKSONVILLE, Fla — One person is dead and another was injured after a two-vehicle crash on Jacksonville's Northside.
At 2:37 p.m., officers responded to the 10800 block of Harts Road after receiving a report of a crash with injuries and a car on fire.
When officers arrived, they found a Nissan Murano and a Dodge Charger had crashed at the Harts Road and Chestnut Oak Drive North intersection, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
After their initial investigation, police believe the Charger was traveling north on Harts Road and collided with the Murano, which was turning left onto Harts Road. The Nissan flipped several times as a result of the crash, JSO reported.
The driver of the Murano died in the crash, according to police. First responders took the driver of the Charger to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
