Jacksonville Armada FC Men's U23 squad loses to Columbus United FC with conference title on the line

Armada wouldn't be able to make a comeback and fall to Columbus United FC 3-1—this will be the second year in a row that the Boys in Blue lose.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Armada FC Men's U-23 squad had the opportunity to win their second Sunshine Gulf Coast Conference title in three years as they hosted Columbus United FC Saturday night.

Armada would strike first with the assist from the corner, then it's Noak Kvifte with the header—and goal.

Armada led, 1-0.

With minutes left in the first half, Columbus United strikes back. Rafael Kawata dribbles through the defense and gets a lucky bounce off a defender as that finds the back of the net for a goal.

This would tie things up.

Now in the second half, Xavier Casto with some room and finds Carter Berg with a beautiful pass who finishes this one for the goal.

Columbus takes the lead, 2-1.

"We go up one, zero and we feel comfortable and we're pushing for a second goal and sometimes it's moments that let us down that we don't expect," said head coach Tommy Krizanovic. "We can go very far, each and every one of us. We just need to keep building. We can't let this stop us," said Oliver Moller-Jensen.
