JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — As of Monday, a bad week has gotten worse for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

After their 20-23 loss to the Houston Texans, they needed the Denver Broncos to lose their matchup with the Cleveland Browns Monday. When the Broncos took the win, the last domino fell to crush the Jags' playoffs hopes.

This latest blow comes after Trevor Lawrence's concussion, which took him out of Sunday's game.

The blow by Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair, which caused the concussion, caused an eruption of drama on the field.

When Jags tight end Evan Engram rushed to Lawrence's defense, both teams ended up in a skirmish that interrupted the game.

Al-Shaair was ejected for unnecessary roughness on the play, and the Jaguars' Jarrian Jones was also ejected for throwing a punch during the scuffle.

Al-Shaair has now been suspended for three games.

Meanwhile, Lawrence says he is "feeling better." If he returns, he'll be rejoining a shortened season. The Jags sit at 2-10.
