PARIS, France — The Opening Ceremony at the 2024 Paris Olympics featured an outdoor boat parade down the Seine River during a rainy sunset.
Since the Tokyo Olympics, upcoming Olympic hosts have marched just ahead of the host country at the end of the line. That means the United States, host of the 2028 games, was featured just before France at the end.
Flag bearers LeBron James and Coco Gauff were at the bow of the vessel, taking pictures and waving the flag through the pouring rain.
