GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -- Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Nolan Carroll was back at his alma mater on Saturday to help his former Clay High School teammate Cliff Avril with his free football camp.
Both Avril and Carroll have given back in Clay County over the years by investing their time, energy, and money into the community. Carroll recently donated some money to Clay High School for enhancements on the football team's practice field and in the weight room. He has also funded two scholarships that were awarded to a pair of Clay High School graduates in the class of 2015. One of the scholarships is named after Ron Riddle, one of Carroll's former coaches with the Blue Devils.
Carroll is entering his 6th NFL season and 2nd with the Eagles.
