NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Trevor Lawrence is making his return to the field in a critical matchup against rival Tennessee Titans that will decide the team's playoff future after an injury sidelined him last week.
After missing the 26-0 win over the Carolina Panthers with a shoulder injury, the Jaguars quarterback is fit to play again. Lawrence has dealt with a knee injury, ankle injury and concussion protocol this season prior to injuring his shoulder against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers two weeks ago. A recent injury report also referred to an injured left finger.
The final AFC South regular season game comes on the heels of the Houston Texans clinching a playoff spot. Their victory over the Indianapolis Colts 23-19 came after a strong performance by Texans rookie QB C.J. Stroud and a drop by Colts running back Tyler Goodson on 4th and 1 with 1:06 remaining.
The Jaguars win the AFC South with a win and are out with a loss, following the Pittsburgh Steelers (10-7) win on Saturday. The other playoff spot depends on the 10-6 Buffalo Bills game against 11-5 Miami Dolphins for the AFC East title.
Per Friday's injury report, receivers Zay Jones and Christian Kirk are questionable.
