Sunday Night Football: Jaguars' game plan for Lamar Jackson

Lamar is also completing 67% of his passes and has thrown for more than 3,000 yards to go along with 16 touchdowns.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars face a challenging matchup as they prepare to host the Baltimore Ravens in a primetime game scheduled for NBC 12's Sunday Night Football. The Ravens, led by former MVP Lamar Jackson, present a formidable opponent for the Jaguars.

Jackson, renowned for his electrifying playstyle, poses a multifaceted threat with both his passing and rushing abilities. His dynamic skill set makes him one of the NFL's most exciting quarterbacks.

Moreover, the Ravens' offense has evolved, now boasting the talents of receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Zay Flowers alongside Jackson. Beckham Jr. and Flowers add depth and potency to Baltimore's passing game.

Jackson's passing accuracy stands at an impressive 67%, reflecting his proficiency in delivering the ball. So far, he has amassed over 3,000 passing yards and contributed 16 touchdowns, highlighting his impact on the Ravens' offensive output.

Jaguars Head Coach, Doug Pederson was not shy about facing the reality of Lamar Jackson.

"This is a very explosive, high-energy player," said Pederson, "great football player, great quarterback. One of the things he’s doing this year, which was a point of emphasis for them, throwing the ball a little bit more from the pocket and he’s done a nice job for that."

Pederson said it's going to take team work to take Jackson down.

"It takes all 11 on defense, you can’t let your guard down with him not only in the run game, but the pass game as well. When you get an opportunity to tackle him, you’ve got to tackle him because he can definitely burn you with his speed. You try to slow him down, try to minimize the explosiveness, but at the same time, with his ability to throw the ball, he makes it a challenge," Pederson added.
