JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Injuries are an integral part of football, and the Jacksonville Jaguars have grappled with their share, affecting key positions like the starting quarterback and offensive line. Among those impacted is Davon Hamilton, a player on this season's roster beset by injury setbacks.
Reflecting on his experience, Jaguars Defensive Tackle Davon Hamilton stated, "You know this is God's process. I can't control anything that is going on. God is going to have a plan for me and I this was his plan."
Hamilton's injury woes commenced before the season opener when he hurt his back in the Jaguars' pre-season game against the Detroit Lions, citing "back spasms." Throughout the ordeal, his wife remained his pillar of support.
"My wife held it down this whole time, especially having a newborn at the same time as everything that was going on. Kind of a very hard process," said Hamilton, acknowledging his spouse's support.
Returning to the field in Week 10 marked a significant milestone for Hamilton. However, his primary focus isn't on achieving impressive statistics but rather on contributing to the team.
"Contribute as much as possible and help my team," emphasized DaVon Hamilton, outlining his intentions.
Jaguars' Head Coach Doug Pederson acknowledged the team's progress on the health front, particularly pertinent at this stage of the season and considering the upcoming opportunities.
"I do think that the guys are getting healthy which is good especially this time of year and especially with the opportunity we have this weekend," noted Doug Pederson, offering insight into the team's state of health.
