OL Cam Robinson with rejuvenated energy after becoming a father

"Just waking up and seeing my son every morning, I can't describe it or I can't put words to it."

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Offensive lineman Cam Robinson is in his eighth season in the NFL and with the Jaguars, but this will be his first as a father.

"Just waking up and seeing my son every morning, I can't describe it or put words to it. Mentally, it just puts me in a really good place. Definitely matured me even more," said the Jaguars' 2017 second-round pick.

Robinson missed eight games last season, four due to violating the NFL's performance-enhancing drug policy and four due to a meniscus injury in his right knee.

"If I stay on the field, I know what I can do. I know what I am in this league. It's as simple as that," said Robinson.

Robinson is going into the final year of his three-year contract extension, which he signed in 2022. Since he has already dealt with a similar situation, he said he feels no pressure.

"When I'm on the field, I know what I can do and I know who I am. I think everybody in the building does too. I'm not really into convincing anybody or showing anybody anything. Just watch," said Robinson.

Robinson remarked that the offensive line is not where they want or need to be yet, but they are taking the necessary steps to go in that direction. But there's good news for the Big Cats' front five, as they have time to gel and work out the kinks, as the start of the regular season is still a month and a half away.
