JACKSONVILLE, Ill. — Week one of Jaguars training camp is behind us.

Notable players that did not participate in in Saturday's camp is safety Andrew Wingard who was out because of an "illness". Josh Proctor, Jaguars' safety was also out with an "illness" and did not practice.

Jaguars Special Teams Coordinator, Heath Farwell met with media to wrap up week one.

Farewell said even in as little as a week, the gunner group he has now is the best he's ever had.

"This is one of the best gunner groups I've ever had," said Farwell. "As far as I'm concerned, we have four really really good gunners and that's a compliment to those guys," he added. "We have a bunch of guys top to bottom. This is a really good group," said Farwell.

Farwell admitted, there's still unknowns with the new kickoff rule. However, they're working on what they could potentially see.

“It’s football. I think anytime you get an advantage, you’re going to do it. I think there’s going to be opportunities. As we learn more of what type of coverage we’re going to see, obviously by game plan, we’ll have some of those things, those wrinkles, that’s part of it," he added.
