ATLANTA — The Jacksonville Jaguars starters performed almost flawlessly vs. Falcons in week three of the NFL preseason Friday evening.

While expected, newly paid quarterback Trevor Lawrence diced up the Falcons backup defenders in the final dress rehearsal before week one of the regular season.

When the Jaguars offensive starters exited the game, the Jags lead the Falcons 14 to 0. Mac Jones lead the offense to another touchdown right before the half to go up 21-0.

The Jags scored on their first two offensive possessions, marching down the field methodically on both. The first go at it was a ten-play drive ending in an impressive six-yard Lawrence needle throw to tight end Evan Engram in the back of the endzone. A highlight of the drive included a 38-yard catch and run by rookie wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr.

The Jaguars defense forced a fourth down stop on the following Falcons drive, which gave the ball back to a hot Jags offense that scored again. This time, an impressive 13-play drive ended in another Engram touchdown.

While the plan was for the Jaguars offensive starters to play the entire first half, they were pulled after the two long back-to-back scoring drives.

Lawrence finished the night 8/10 passing for 92 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Travis Etienne finished the game with 46 yards rushing for an average of 6.6 yards per carry.

The Jaguars' backups kept it rolling, winning 31-0.
