Mac Jones wasn't the answer; Jaguars offense still can't figure it out in loss to Vikings, 12-7

The Vikings were able to win over the Jaguars without scoring a touchdown.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars are hosting the Minnesota Vikings for week 10.

The Big Cats are without starting quarterback, Trevor Lawrence because of a shoulder injury. Bolles Bulldogs alumni Mac Jones is starting for the Jaguars for the first time in the regular season. He started once in the preseason.

In the Jaguars first drive of the game, the offense was unable to pick up a first down. First three and out of the game.

The Vikings would move the chains, but not enough to score a touchdown. Minnesota settled for the 45-yard field goal by John Parker Romo. The Vikings have the first lead of the day, 3-0.

The Jaguars turn it around in their second drive. Jones is able to jump-start the pass-and-run game. Jones capped off the drive with a one-yard rushing touchdown. The Jaguars took the lead with less than four minutes left in the first quarter, 7-3.

This is Jones' first regular season touchdown as a Jaguar.

Jaguars linebacker Foyesade Oluokun snatched the popped up broken pass in the following Vikings drive. This means it was return of the Mac on offense. 

The offense was unable to do anything with the takeaway and gave the ball right back to Minnesota.

At the end of the first quarter, the Jaguars in the lead, 7-3.

Jaguars' Montaric Brown picked off Vikings' Sam Darnold in the second quarter, the second interception for the Jaguars defense.

At the half, the Jaguars are still in the lead, 7-3.

The Jaguars defense start the third quarter with a bang as Darnell Savage picks off Sam Darnold near the Vikings endzone. This is the third pick of the day for the Jaguars defense.

However, the offensive unit wasn't able to create any points from the takeaway. Again.

Late in the third quarter, the Vikings are still unable to score a touchdown and settle for another field goal. This time with a 33-yard field-goal. The Jaguars in the lead still, 7-6.

At the end of the third quarter, the Jaguars stay in the lead, 7-6.

With less than eight minutes left in the game, Vikings' Romo hit the 34-yard field goal. Minnesota is back in the lead, 9-7.

Just when the Jags got the ball, it was fumbled and recovered by the Vikings.

The Vikings respond with a field goal, bringing their lead to 12-7. 

Right when the Jags need some points, Jones throws another pick, giving the Vikings the ball with less than four minutes on the clock. But the Vikings don't go anywhere, and it's back to the Jags.

With minutes left on the clock, the Jags are in need of some points, but Jones throws another pick. 

The Vikings win the game with no touchdowns, 12-7.
