JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — On Sunday, The Jacksonville Jaguars announced a contract extension for offensive lineman Walker Little.
They wrote in a press release:
"Walker is a homegrown talent who has grown up in our system," said General Manager Trent Baalke. "Time and time again, Walker stepped in when needed and stepped up his game at the tackle position. This is a great opportunity for a young player that we see every day on the practice field, who we believe will be playing his best football in the coming years."
Drafted by Jacksonville in the second round (45th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft, Little has appeared in 51 games with 21 starts, including four starts in 11 games during the 2024 season. He has also started in two postseason games.
A native of Houston, Texas, Little played college football at Stanford from 2017-2019. As a freshman in 2017, he became the first player to start at left tackle for Stanford since Kirk Chambers in 2000, earning Pac-12 Freshman Co-Offensive Player of the Year and All-Pac-12 honorable mention honors.
