Jaguars conclude OTA's and minicamp, prepare for July training camp

"I definitely want them to get away and relax," Pederson said. "At the same time, the message is to continue to work out, continue to run".

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — OTA's and minicamp officially wrapped up Wednesday at the Miller Electric Center, signaling a break for the Jacksonville Jaguars before training camp kicks off at the end of July.

OTA's, or Organized Team Activities, were held on a voluntary basis, offering players a chance to refine their skills and build team chemistry without the pressure of mandatory attendance. However, the minicamp was mandatory for all rookies and selected veterans, ensuring that the newest additions to the team, as well as some of the experienced players, received essential training and evaluation from the coaching staff.

Jaguars Head Coach Doug Pederson underscored the importance of this period, urging his players to balance relaxation with maintaining their physical and mental conditioning.

"I definitely want them to get away and relax," Pederson said. "At the same time, the message is to continue to work out, continue to run. When they come back, they come back ready. They come back in shape, mentally and physically. They come back for training camp."

This approach aims to ensure that the team returns in peak condition, ready to tackle the rigors of the upcoming NFL season. The Jaguars' training camp, a crucial phase in the team's preparation, will be hosted at the end of July. While the exact date has not yet been released, the anticipation for the camp is palpable among both players and fans.

The team's performance in training camp will be pivotal as they build towards the new season, aiming to improve on their previous performances and make a strong showing in the NFL.
