JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram will be heading to Orlando next month to replace Travis Kelce in the 2024 Pro Bowl Games, the team announced Tuesday.
Kelce is unable to participate due to the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl appearance.
Engram joins long snapper Ross Matiscik and outside linebacker Josh Allen as the only Jaguars players to be named to the Pro Bowl in 2024. Matiscik and Allen were voted into the 2024 Pro Bowl Games earlier this month. This is Engram's second appearance in the Pro Bowl after being named to the team following the 2020 season.
Engram is the second tight end in Jags history to be named to the Pro Bowl, joining tight end Marcedes Lewis' selection in 2010, and the 35th Pro Bowler in franchise history, according to a news release from the Jaguars. In 2023, Engram amassed 114 receptions for 963 receiving yards and four touchdowns. His 114 catches led all NFL tight ends while it also set franchise records for receptions and receiving yards in a season by a tight end.
Furthermore, Engram became the eighth tight end in NFL history and first tight end in franchise history to eclipse 100 receptions.
The 2024 Pro Bowl Games will take place in Orlando beginning on Thursday, Feb. 1 with Pro Bowl players competing in skills challenges. The Pro Bowl Games are a multi-day AFC vs. NFC competition with skills showdowns and a flag football game played at Camping World Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 4.
