JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Misfortune continues for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is set to miss his second career game on Sunday, according to an NFL.com report.

Lawrence, 25, is dealing with a nagging left shoulder injury in which he sustained during the team's week 9 lost against the Philadelphia Eagles. On the Jags' injury report, he practiced in a limited capacity in both Wednesday and Thursday's practices.

The $275 million dollar quarterback's injury comes as the Jags trend towards a path to a top 10 pick in the upcoming draft, with a record of 2-7 on the season. They'll face the 6-2 Minnesota Vikings Sunday at EverBank Stadium, a team who has an opposite trajectory - the needle points up for them heading to the playoffs.

Likely to take the helm in place of Lawrence for the week 10 game, is Jacksonville native Mac Jones. The former 15th overall pick will head into the game with an 18-26 career record as a starter, registered all with the New England Patriots.

Although a very small sample size, Jones has six completions on nine attempts for the season, with 28 yards passing, whereas Lawrence has racked up 168 completions on 274 attempts, 2,004 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Kickoff for the Vikings-Jaguars game is at 1 p.m.
