TEMPE, Arizona — Cardinals' wide receiver, Zay Jones was suspended for five games, the NFL announced Friday.
Jones was a Jacksonville Jaguar for two seasons and on Nov 13, 2023, he was arrested on a misdemeanor battery charge in Duval County. According to law enforcement, he got into a custody argument with the mother of his child and left fingernail scratches on her neck. The charge was dropped in March.
Despite getting charges dropped, the wide receiver still violated the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy.
That said, he won't be able to play until week 6.
The 29-year-old will be eligible to return for the Cardinals' Oct. 13 game against Green Bay.
