Fearless and Fun: Jaxson de Ville Joins Mascot Hall of Fame

Jaxson's impact goes beyond the field. His induction also recognizes his contributions to the community, highlighted by his recent children's book, The Big Jump.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jaxson de Ville, the beloved mascot of the Jacksonville Jaguars, is known for his high-energy antics and fearless stunts, but he rarely shares his thoughts. With the help of his translator, Christy Stechman Zynda, Jaxson opened up about his recent induction into the Mascot Hall of Fame and how he hopes to inspire young Jaguars fans.

"Jaxson has no fear. He's a cat that just gets out there and gives it his all on game day, and that's what I think he's best known for," said Zynda.

Jaxson's reputation for going all out was on full display when he leaped nearly 200 feet into EverBank Stadium, hanging from a bungee cord. Along with daring stunts, he's also known for his playful side.

"He'll put a cake in the face of opposing fans or rally the crowd during a game," Zynda said. "He just makes sure he's always part of the action."

Those antics are part of what earned Jaxson de Ville a spot in the Mascot Hall of Fame this year. He is only the third mascot ever to receive the honor and quickly became a fan favorite during the voting process.

"He had the most public votes, with 95% approval from the executive committee," Zynda noted. "He's not just a Jacksonville staple—he's beloved worldwide, including by fans in London."

But Jaxson's impact goes beyond the field. His induction also recognizes his contributions to the community, highlighted by his recent children's book, The Big Jump.

The book encourages kids to overcome obstacles, something Jaxson hopes will resonate with readers.

"It teaches children about preparation, teamwork, and what it takes to perform stunts like the ones he does on game day," Zynda said.

With his playful spirit and commitment to community, Jaxson de Ville's legacy continues to grow—and now, it's officially enshrined in the Mascot Hall of Fame.
