ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Jacksonville Jaguars were in Mafia territory taking on the Buffalo Bills for Monday Night Football.
The Jaguars were in need of a win after starting the season 0-2. Plain and simple.
Here's a list of the inactive players from the Jaguars roster:
- 6 S Darnell Savage
- 17 TE Evan Engram
- 59 DE Myles Cole
- 62 OL Javon Foster
- 70 OL Cole Van Lanen
- 90 DT Esezi Otomewo
- 98 DT Jordan Jefferson
Early in the game, rookie corner, Jarrian Jones left the field with an apparent upper body injury to his shoulder.
In the opening drive for the Bills, the offense had no problem running over the Jaguars defense. Bills' James Cook capped off the drive with a 7-yard rushing touchdown.
Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars had a chance to clap back after that Bills touchdown, but they rolled over, instead. They were shut down in their first drive and forced to kick.
In Buffalo's second drive, Josh Allen and the Bills turn up the heat on offense. In 11 plays, 65-yards Bills' Dalton Kincaid caps off the drive with a short touchdown. The Bills lead, 13-0.
The Jaguars finish the first quarter with 19 total yards while the Bills had 140.
The big cats need a spark in the second quarter to stay in this game.
To add only one heartbeat to the Jaguars, Cam Little hit a 41-yard field-goal. The Jaguars are still behind, 13-3.
The Bills had no choice but to keep Jaguars cheers to a minimum. Still in the second quarter, Bills' Josh Allen hits Keon Coleman, former Florida State Seminole, from 24-yards out. Touchdown Bills. Jaguars' fans are hit with an early sign of a blowout. With six minutes left in the second quarter, the Bills lead big, 20-3.
Trevor Lawrence threw his first pick of the game following a much needed first down. Damar Hamlin on the other side of that. It is not looking good for the Jaguars.
With just over two-minutes left in the first half, the Bills go four-for-four and score again on the Jaguars.
Josh Allen finds Khalil Shakir who takes it to the house and adds to the lead, 27-3. The Jaguars are in trouble.
With less than a minute left in the game, the Bills lay another one on the Jaguars. Josh Allen finds Ty Johnson for the 16-yard touchdown. The Jaguars can't get it together on defense or offense. The Bills stay up big, 34-3.
This is the largest deficit in Jaguars franchise history.
The Jaguars pump some life into the offense at the start of the second half as Trevor Lawrence hits Brenton Strange at the endzone for the 6-yard touchdown. The Jaguars are down big, still 37-10.
The Bills keep it pushing in the fourth quarter and lead the Jaguars 40-10 following a field goal.
And if it couldn't get worse for the Jaguars, it does.
The Bills don't stop their pass game against a weak Jaguars defense and score yet, another touchdown. Bills' Ray Davis caps off a four-yard touchdown. The Bills lead 47-10 with less than three minutes left in the game.
The Bills take the win, 47-10.
