JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Work is well underway on the new US Assure Club, part of $90 million worth of renovations in and around EverBank Field.
The signs of change inside Everbank Field are evident, from the massive cranes to the few missing seats -- all meant to make way for the upcoming U.S. Assure Club seating.
It was after the TaxSlayer Bowl that the insides of the clubs were gutted and structural steel work began underneath.
The renovations are removing 2,700 seats. Team officials say everything should be ready before preseason.
"We are on schedule for that right now, everything is looking great, we'll be able to open them up for the preseason games when they start in August," said Chad Johnson, Vice President of Sales and Service for the Jaguars.

While they are losing 2,700 seats, team officials say there will still be enough for every current club member.
"We fully intend the US Assure clubs will be completely sold out for 2016," said Johnson.
When they're finished, Johnson says the west and east clubs will appeal to different demographics, with the east side skewing younger and the west side appealing to an older crowd.
"It kind of gives us the best of both worlds to appeal to anybody," said Johnson.
As for the amphitheater and flex field, Johnson says they're still in the design phase, and it's too early to say when those projects will be complete.
Still, those with the team say they expect work to begin this year.
"One thing our owner Mr. Khan has said multiple times we're only going to open and build an amphitheater one time so we're going to make sure we do it right," said Johnson.
The team says next week workers will start removing pieces of the concrete decks to start building decks for the new seating.
