JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sharks hosted their inaugural home game as part of the Indoor Football League on Saturday, and also commemorated their 2023 National Arena League championship by raising the banner.
In the first half, second-year quarterback Conor Blount delivered a precise throw to Jeremiah Payton, putting the Sharks ahead 6-0.
However, the Panthers quickly retaliated as Daquan Neal connected with Shane Simpson for a touchdown.
The Sharks struggled on both offense and defense, eventually succumbing to the Panthers with a final score of 48-24.
This marks their third consecutive loss in the new league.
Their upcoming game is scheduled for April 20th at home against the Knight Hawks at 7 p.m.
