FLORIDA, USA — The University of Central Florida head coach Gus Malzahn is resigning from his position and is now set to become the new offensive coordinator at Florida State, according to reports.
ESPN's Pete Thamel reported Saturday that Malzahn will be FSU's primary play-caller.
The move comes after two seasons of mixed success in Orlando for Malzahn. He's spent four years at Central Florida, helping the Knights join the Big 12. But since, he has had two straight losing seasons, and compiled a total record of 28 wins and 24 losses.
Malzahn was previously Auburn's offensive coordinator and play-caller and helped secure the team a national title in 2010.
