Trevor Lawrence is 'feeling great,' heading into offseason voluntary workouts

"The biggest thing is just getting my body to a point where I can withstand a lot of these hits...but also limiting them as much as I can," Lawrence said.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — For the first time since the Jaguars started phase one of their offseason voluntary workout program, we got a chance to hear from quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

At a press conference Tuesday, Lawrence said he's 100% healthy. In fact, he started feeling great last month. He suffered several injuries in 2023. First it was a bruised knee, then a high ankle sprain, a concussion and he injured his throwing shoulder.

Lawrence admitted the injuries, plus his inconsistent play were factors in the team's collapse last season.

But the good thing is having had some time to reflect he knows what he has to do to be better this fall.

"I regret how it turned out, but I always have said, 'If I can play, and I feel like I'm not hurting the team, and some weeks I did, but I feel like I did the best I could.' I would expect the same of my teammates. If I expect that from guys late in the season to play, then I have to do the same," said Lawrence.

"The biggest thing is just getting my body to a point where I can withstand a lot of these hits or whatever it is, but also limiting them as much as I can," he added.

Lawrence said he's looking forward to putting in work with his teammates again.
