'To God be the glory' UNF Ospreys Men's Basketball coaching staff the winningest in ASUN history with 228 wins

Their victory over Queens NC secured the stamp in history.

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. — In a significant achievement, head coach Matthew Driscoll and his coaching staff notched their 228th victory, solidifying their position as the winningest coaching staff in ASUN history. This milestone was reached following a commanding 91-75 triumph over Queens (N.C.) during Saturday evening's game.

The North Florida men's basketball team (11-9, 4-1) not only secured a noteworthy win against Queens but also etched their name in history with their 400th all-time victory. This victory extended their winning streak to an impressive four consecutive triumphs in conference play. Additionally, the game against the Royals marked a season-high in points scored by the Ospreys against a Division I team.

Some noteworthy highlights.

A standout performance by Chaz Lanier highlighted the game, as he led a group of five Ospreys with double-digit scores. Lanier recorded his third consecutive 20-point game and seventh overall, showcasing his consistent offensive prowess. Max Hrdlicka contributed significantly by achieving a career-high with 16 points, adding depth to the team's offensive capabilities. Meanwhile, Nate Lliteras made a notable impact with 15 points and eight rebounds, playing a crucial role in defending their home court.

This milestone victory not only reflects the team's current success but also underscores the historical significance of their coaching staff's accomplishments in ASUN history.
