JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — New Kids on the Block reuniting for a 2024 tour that includes three Florida dates? You got it.
The pop group, with original members Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre, Jordan Knight, Jonathan Knight and Danny Wood, announced their Magic Summer Tour Monday on "Good Morning America." The tour includes three shows in Florida, July 19 at MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, July 20 at iThink Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach and July 21 at Daily's Place in Jacksonville.
Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff are scheduled to open the shows.
Tickets will go on sale through livenation.com at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3. Members of the band's fan club and Citi cardholders will be able to buy tickets earlier through a presale. Ticket prices were not released.
The tour will revisit many of the venues on the band's sold-out 1990 Magic Summer Tour. The group played shows in Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, St. Petersburg and Pensacola that year.
“The true ‘magic’ of this tour is in the music, the moments and the memories that we get to create — and recreate — with our amazing fans each night,” Wahlberg in a news release announcing the tour. “Feeling all the nostalgic feels of the original Magic Summer, with the bond that we’ve shared throughout the years, will make for a most magical time indeed.”
