JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — In attendance at the Sporting Jax watch party was the All-Navy Men's soccer team, a group composed of soccer players who serve in the Navy.
The team has been conducting their practice sessions at the Naval Air Station here in Jacksonville as they prepare for an upcoming tournament in Albany, Georgia, where they will compete against teams representing other branches of the military.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from April 2nd to the 9th and serves as a crucial part of their preparation for the Military World Games scheduled for 2025.
Jay Reynard, the All-Navy head men's soccer coach said he flew 36 players out to Jacksonville, but by the time the tournament kicks off, only 18 would have made the cut.
There will be three rounds to the tournament. All-Navy will take on the US Army team first, then the Air Force and finally, the Marines.
