Local NFL star Derrick Henry hosts first Carnival, giving back to Yulee community

At the carnival, around 200 kids from the First Coast received bikes and backpacks filled with school supplies.

YULEE, Fla. — Local NFL superstar Derrick Henry, known for giving back to his hometown of Yulee, hosted the first-ever Two All Saturday as part of his Two All Foundation.

At the carnival, around 200 kids from the First Coast received bikes and backpacks filled with school supplies. Some even had the chance to get their items autographed.

Not only is Henry helping these kids prepare for the upcoming school year, but families also enjoyed a summer day filled with fun activities at the free carnival.

"I wanted to do something that involved everybody. Camps are just boys and men driven. I wanted to bring everybody so they can come out and have fun. I wanted everyone to come out, not just a selective group," said Henry.

"Back in the day, it was a small-knit community. It's growing now, of course. Derrick does play a major part of that because everyone knows Yulee because of him," said Devaney Deberry, a Yulee resident.

Henry said he plans on hosting more events like this in the Yulee community.
