JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars upheld their commitment to local flag football by hosting approximately 700 athletes and coaches for the "Bold Gold Games" 5-on-5 tournament.
The event included both boys and girls competing in nine divisions. Organized by the Jaguars Prep Program, the tournament witnessed significant growth from the previous year, with over 55 new teams joining from various locations including Tampa, Orlando and Gainesville.
According to organizers, the tournament serves as a pathway to the Olympics, utilizing a similar structure to that of the 2028 LA Games. Winners of each division will be awarded a prestigious gold medal.
The Jaguars expressed their desire to establish an environment where children can enjoy themselves and showcase their talents.
