JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville 95ers are already making moves to prove they are serious about winning in their inaugural season.
During Sunday's TBL Draft, the 95ers surprised fans by trading up from the 34th overall pick to the top pick in the draft.
Jacksonville selected 7’3 Chris Sodom. 95ers CEO and president Kevin Waters said they love Sodom's size, the way he defends both the post and the perimeter along with his mobility.
Waters added they believe Sodom can be the centerpiece to building a winner here in Jacksonville.
In exchange for the top pick, the 95ers sent the Rocket City Flights their 34th overall pick, their 5th pick in the second round and cash.
The 95ers season starts March 7 on the road against Rocket City in Huntsville, Ala. Their first home game is on March 21 at Swisher Gym.
