Impact Christian, Andrew Jackson, Paxon, and Providence School clinch District Titles in thrilling basketball showdowns

Districts did not disappoint on the hard wood floor as underdogs rise.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Game 1: Impact Christian vs. University Christian (2A District 3 Finals)

In the 2A District 3 finals, Impact Christian faced off against University Christian in a tightly contested match. Heading into the fourth quarter with Impact leading by only 3 points, Ronald Clark assisted Sterling Moody, extending the lead to 5. Despite King Sanders' three-pointer for University Christian, Impact maintained control. Wilmer De Jesus secured the victory with a tough layup, leading Impact Christian to their fifth district title with a final score of 61-54. The Lions reflected on their success after the game.

Game 2: Andrew Jackson vs. Ribault (4A District 3 Finals)

Andrew Jackson hosted Ribault in the 4A District 3 finals. In the fourth quarter, Ronald Durham's decisive plays, including a tough bucket and a slam dunk, propelled the Tigers to a 54-45 victory, earning them the district title. The Tigers shared their thoughts on the hard-earned triumph.

Game 3: Paxon vs. Bolles Bulldogs (4A District 4 Finals)

Paxon hosted the Bolles Bulldogs in a thrilling matchup that went into overtime. Finley Bredehoeft's three-pointer for Bolles forced the game into extra time. Paxon dominated from the free-throw line during overtime, and Dameon Jones Jr. sealed the deal with a layup. Paxon secured their third consecutive 4A District 4 title with a 69-61 victory.

Game 4: Providence School vs. Episcopal Eagles (3A District 3 Finals)

In the 3A District 3 finals at Providence School, the Stallions faced the Episcopal Eagles. Chris Arias's dominance inside during the third quarter gave the Stallions a 15-point lead. However, the Eagles, led by Kent Jackson's three-pointers, narrowed the gap to 6 points. In the fourth quarter, Arias showcased his skills with a powerful play, earning an and-one opportunity. 

The Stallions capitalized on the momentum, winning the game 57-46. The victory serves as a steppingstone for the Stallions as they aim for the state title.
