The Tigers were up big in the first half with the Wildcats playing catch-up in the 66-45 final.

KINGSLAND, Ga. — It was the battle of the First Coast 'Cats as the Andrew Jackson Tigers were on the road playing the Camden County Wildcats.

Camden County Head Coach, David Bailey trying to bounce back after losing in triple over-time in the finale of the Martin Luther King Jr. Showcase. They lost to the Raines Vikings, 67-65.

For the second consecutive night, a compelling matchup unfolded on the prep hardwood as the Camden County Wildcats played host to the Andrew Jackson Tigers.

The Wildcats sought redemption after a triple-overtime defeat to the Raines Vikings the previous night. Notably, Andrew Jackson featured FSU alum and former NBA player James Collins.

From the outset, the Tigers asserted dominance, particularly on the fast break. Jakauri Fisher connected with Tayvion Lawson for a layup, putting Andrew Jackson ahead by one.

Utilizing their defense to spark offense, the Tigers showcased Ronald Durham's steal, leading to a coast-to-coast play. The halftime score saw Andrew Jackson in command, leading by 14.

The second half saw no let-up from the Tigers, with impressive ball movement culminating in Jaylen Dopson's successful three-pointer. David Bailey, frustrated with his team's performance, witnessed the Wildcats succumbing to back-to-back losses as Andrew Jackson secured a decisive 21-point victory, ending the game at 66-45.

"We pride ourselves on the defensive end of the floor," said Collins.

"Tonight, we were able to get some rebounds and some steals. We were really able to move the ball tonight, get some looks and knock them down," Collins added.

The Tigers next game is on January 28th. The time and location have not yet been determined. Click here for more details.
