JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Sixteen high school girls' basketball teams vied to progress to the Elite 8.
In a notable matchup at Bishop Kenny, the Lady Crusaders hosted the Ribault Pressing Lady Trojans, a rivalry intensified by Bishop Kenny eliminating Ribault from the playoffs three times in the last five years. The Lady Crusaders emerged victorious with a ten-point lead, securing a 43-33 win and advancing to the regional finals against Rutherford on Thursday at 7 pm.

Meanwhile, on the south side of Jacksonville, University Christian dominated their game against St. Joseph, securing a 55-16 victory and earning a spot in the Elite 8.
Their next challenge awaits against North Florida Educational Institute (NFEI) on Thursday at 7 pm. NFEI, having triumphed over Oak Hall 64-17 in the Sweet 16 round, sets the stage for an intriguing matchup in the upcoming round.
