JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Edward Waters Tigers star quarterback Jyron Russell selected to play in the Allstate HBCU legacy bowl.
Russell put up big numbers this season and he helped the Tigers put together the program's first winning season since 2004.
The Tigers offense was explosive, finishing fifth overall in scoring offense, third in total offense, averaged more than 400 yards per game and they finished second in passing offense.
The Legacy Bowl gives football players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of NFL coaches, executives and scouts.
